June 2020 will see the first ever Festival of Food and Wine in association with The Times and The Sunday Times on board the Queen Mary 2, Cunard's luxurious flag ship, for a transatlantic voyagewith a twist.

 

There will be a tempting array of cooking demonstrations, wine pairing and wine tasting events on offer throughout this unique voyage.  there will be talks and Q and A sessions about all things gastronomic from an array of celebrated food and wine experts.

 

In addition, Cunard's own talented team of chefs, sommeliers and mixologists will be very much involved sharing their expertise and knowledge, even offering the opportunity to take a glimpse behind the scenes to discover what it takes to curate the fabulous menus that you will enjoy.

 

For those of you that want to take away something to show for your holiday there is the opportunity to join the Cunard Wine Academy and gain the Wine and Spirit Educational Trust Level 1 Certificate, a recognised and well respected qualification.

MICHEL ROUX JR

A legendary chef, who specialises in beautiful classic French cuisine with a lighter modern twist.  Michel is a 2 star Michelin Chef for his most famous restaurant Le Gavroche.  He is also the head judge on Master Chef the Professionals.

 

STEVEN SPURRIER

Steven is a leading wine consultant and author of several books.  He is also a respected teacher and critic.  Steven was also the visionary behind the legendary Judgement of Paris.  He was also the founder and driving force behind the Christie's wine course.

 

WILL LYONS

 

Will was once described as having one of the finest palates in Britain and his weekly wine column in the Sunday Times has won awards.  Will has also written some of the most influential wine guides. 

 

LISA MARWELL

 

Lisa is the food editor for The Sunday Times,  Lisa is a respected restaurant critic but has also recently trained as a professional chef.  She is currently writing a book on her journey from home cook to professional chef.

 

 

GARETH BOWEN

Gareth has been the Culinary Development Manager for Cunard since 2017 and has over 25 years of experience working with some of London's top hotels.  He now is the man behind the fabulous menus and dining experiences on the Cunard ships.
